Taylor Swift is taking heavy comedic punches these days. Earlier this year, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took a jab at Swift during the Golden Globe Awards, joking that she needed to stay away from Michael J. Fox’s son.
Now, Conan O’Brien has jumped on the Swift comedy bandwagon. O’Brien made a video response to Swift’s “22” music video, stating that Swift is wrong about what being 22 is like. However, O’Brien does not discount how talented and popular the young singer is.
“But I know what it’s like to be 22,” O’Brien said. “I don’t think that that [video] is an accurate representation on what it’s like to be 22.”
O’Brien then goes on to explain that what was shown in the Swift video was too glamourous for someone who is 22 years old. Even going as far as stating that he saw no ramen noodles in the video, when we all know adults around this age live on the famous boiled noodle diet, myself included.
Based on O’Brien’s explaination of what he experienced at 22, it makes being that age sound like hell on earth (trust me, it’s not that horrible).
I guess O’Brien wanted to reveal the truth so 21-year-olds getting ready to hit that “glamourous” age won’t feel too much disappointment when their life does not measure up to Swift’s.
